NEW SERVICE FOR FAMILIES
From September 12th we are introducing a new service at 4.30 p.m. on every second Sunday of the month, with a working title of "Simple Service for Families". It will be quite informal, and last only about half an hour, with songs, stories, etc.
Afterwards there will be refreshments for the children and parents/carers, and a chance to chat and get to know each other.
Rainbow Club 2010
This year's Rainbow Club had the theme "Rainbow Roundabout" and centred on the messages of the four gospel wreiters - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John (bless the bed that I lie on - as the children will tell you).
It ran from Monday to Friday August 2nd to 6th and proved one of the best ever. The children eagerly joined in the activities, craft making, singing etc. and were (dare we say it!) one of the best behaved groups of children (average number each day was 59) seen to date at Rainbow Club.
We would like to thank all those who have helped to make it such a success - church members, parents, and others who yielded to persuasion to help out - and found they were really enjoying it. Rainbow Club is over for this year, but don't forget to put a ring round the first week of August 2011 in your diaries, which is the likely date for the next time you can come and join in the fun and games - either again, or for the first time..........
