Youth Groups and Activities
At St Oswald's there is a variety of groups and activities to cater for children and young people of all ages. Take a look below to get a flavour of what is on offer. If you are new to the church and wish to find out more about the youth activities we run for your child or children then please visit our Contact Us page.
Sunday School
Every Sunday morning, during the 10:00 service, children can attend our Sunday School, where they will undertake a number of crafts, games and other activities based around bible stories. The children join the main service near the end and get to tell the congregation what they have been doing that day and to show their creations to everyone.
Sunday school doesn't run on the first Sunday of the month, as this is a family service, which the children attend.
Every Christmas Eve the children also have the chance to be in the nativity play in the church, which attracts many families and is a great start to the Christmas holiday.
Donut and Hotdog Club
Donut club is designed for young people in year 7 who have just started secondary school. We have a relaxed environment in the church with access to games, crafts, music and...donuts of course! Table tennis, pool, table football, board games and varying craft activities keep everyone entertained or, if people want to sit, chat and listen to music, that's fine too!
Donut club runs weekly on a Friday in the first half term of the academic year and the first Friday of the month for the rest of the year - subject to school holidays etc. It runs from 3.45pm - 5.00pm. Email donutclub@stoswaldschurch.org.uk for more information.
Hotdog club is very similar to Donut club but is for young people in year 8 and 9. It has the same format as Donut club and runs on the first Friday of each month following Donut club - from 5.15pm - 6.30pm and, instead of Donuts, we serve...well, have a guess! Hotdogs!

Holland House Retreat
Twice a year, a group of young adults retreat to a beautiful house in the Worcestershire countryside, Holland House, Cropthorne. Here we have a quiet space to reflect on the bigger things in life, enjoy the surroundings, eat delicious food and receive warm hospitality.
For over 40 years we have been visiting Holland House and having weekends of discussions as well as trips swimming, walks and a range of activities in the amazing grounds. Holland House has provided many fantastic weekends and is a very special place to many Companions who have been back 20, 30 or even more times over the years! It's impossible to really understand what a Cropthorne weekend is really like until you've been on one but, once you've been, you'll almost certainly want to go again!
